The Youth Ambassador scheme is back for its second year. This is your opportunity to have your say about Tower Hamlets Summer University (THSU), your local community and issues on a national level.

Would you like to be involved in a project that allows you to develop, gain new skills and boosts your confidence?
What about a new experience and running projects that matter to you?!!

If you would like to be involved but you are unable to commit time at this moment or you are free at different times of the year why not join our Youth Advisory Group. As a Youth Advisory Group member you will receive email notifications of up and coming events and projects that you can get involved in.

Here is what the Youth Ambassadors did last year!

In December 2007 a group of Youth Ambassadors met with David Cameron MP, the Leader of the Opposition, for a chat about THSU and young people! Have a look at the video

In the same month, the Youth Ambassadors decided to raise money for the Bangladesh flood/disaster relief and completed a sponsored walk from Whitechapel to Oxford Street raising over £1,000.

Throughout 2008 the Youth Ambassadors have had training in public speaking, event management, life skills and other valuable training to help them develop and then utilise their training. The Event Management course prepared the Youth Ambassadors to help organise our 2008 THSU launch party.

The Youth Ambassadors gave their views and opinions on various issues at different conferences and seminars, including meeting Tessa Jowell MP, the Minister for London and for the Olympics, stars such as Kano and Dizzie Rascal as well as celebrities and politicians.
